Infant, Caedmon Peter Rogers, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2014. He was born on December 28, 2013 in Charlottesville, Va, a son of Arthur and Christina Rogers.
Caedmon is predeceased by his grandfather, Joe Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Caedmon is survived by his brother, George Arthur Rogers; grandparents, Carole Rogers of Bethlehem, Pa, and Rosalee and George Shaffer of Charlottesville, Va., aunts and uncles; Jessica and Jonathan Berry, George and Mary Shaffer, Greg Rogers, Michelle Rogers, and Mike and Stephanie Rogers. Also surviving are loving cousins, Emma Rogers, Rowe and Norabel Berry, Amber and Jake Steinmetz, extended family and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Patrick Orthodox Church, Warrenton, Va. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Orthodox Cemetery in Bealeton, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the UVA Children's Hospital NICU, PO Box 800386. Charlottesville, VA 22908. Don W. Minnich, 76, of Midland, VA passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the only child of Xora "Tim" L. and Lucy L. Minnich.
Mr. Minnich was a graduate of Colorado State University and worked for many years in the field of wildlife biology, first with the State of Colorado, then with the Federal Government. His hobbies included music, hunting and fishing. He was involved for many years in teaching and music ministry in his church.
Mr. Minnich is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; two daughters, Dawn Marie Weaver (Scott) of Gainesville, Va and Kerrie Cardine (Fr. Patrick) of Midland, Va; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Toni and Ella Weaver, Mikal, Isabella, Siena, Olivia, Juliana and Patrick Cardine.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Moser Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Orthodox Cemetery, Bealeton, Va.

Edward Patrick Burke, age 60, passed peacefully at home in Remington, VA on Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 17, 1954 to the late Edward A. and Mary J. Burke.
Ed is survived by his wife, Elaine M. Burke of Gainesville, VA; son, Jeremy Edward Burke of Chicago, IL; daughters, Jessica Tartell of Martha's Vineyard, MA and Eliza Tartell of Culpeper, VA; brother, James Burke (Susan)of Boston, MA; niece, Susan Branagan and nephews, Jim and Michael Burke of Boston, MA.
The family will be accepting visitors at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at Nativity of our Lord Orthodox church, 8911 Weems Road, Manassas, VA, 10 am, on Monday, July 21, 2014. Interment St. Patrick Orthodox cemetery in Bealeton, VA.

Allie May Smoot Foster

Allie May Smoot Foster passed away peacefully at home in Castleton, Virginia, on March 13, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Born January 11, 1924 in Washington, D.C., Allie was the first born child of Ernest and Martha Smoot and granddaughter of the Honorable Reed Smoot (R-Utah) and Mrs. Alpha Mae Smoot. Born and raised in the District, Allie always considered Washington, D.C. home.
After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in the summer of 1942, she was invited to attend the prestigious Pratt Institute, located in Brooklyn, New York. She completed the Pratt program in 1946 with focused studies in Book Illustration.
In 1947, Allie married West Point graduate Ivan “Van” Foster, Jr., son of Major General and Mrs. Ivan L. Foster, in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Allie and Van had three daughters, and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Japan with the USAF. Although their long term marriage ended, the two remained friends.
Allie was part of the Greatest generation. She saw many things during her long lifetime. She could vividly recall the Great Depression, World War II, the Stage Door Canteen where she volunteered, and the ticker tape parades in New York City on VE and VJ day.
A devoted and proud Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Allie considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment and she treasured each and every one of their achievements.
Preceded in death by her parents and two younger siblings, Allie is survived by her three daughters: Barbara Foster May, Marilyn Foster Price (Walter), and Marianne Foster Sodhi (Michael), nine grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren.
Services and a celebration of her long life will be held on March 24, 2018, beginning at 9:00am at St Patrick’s Orthodox Church in Bealeton, Virginia. Interment immediately following at St. Patrick’s church cemetery. Family and friends will gather for reflection at the Price Farm in Castleton, Virginia.
